Faith Under Pressure

Life will always have its good times and hard times. Unfortunately, there is nothing we can do to eliminate ourselves from experiencing the overwhelming emotions of being under pressure, threat, or stress. No matter how uncontrollable our situation, God always has a divine plan and purpose. His plan covers every detail, every need, every problem of your life.

“For we live by faith, not by sight.” (2 Cor. 5:7) Faith is what gets us out of our boat, walking on the storm. Our troubles are not the absence of faith; it’s an indication that we need faith. Faith allows us to experience peace in the storm, trusting God for the miraculous. “God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love Him and are called according to his purpose for them.” (Rom. 8:28) Even the difficulties, the irritations, and the interruptions, by faith, we believe that all things will work out according to God’s purpose.

With every problem and every situation, God has a greater purpose. God uses difficulties to test your faith and to increase your faith. Faith is stirred when you rejoice continually and keep a positive attitude despite things not going as planned. Your faith is stretched when you remain grateful and positive and continue trusting God even in the midst of difficulties.

We should always call on faith to get us through. When we are troubled, we should not rely on our understanding. “Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding, in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.” (Prov. 3:5-6)
