Go Get It Part 1

When we struggle to step into a breakthrough, it might be because we’re walking by sight and not by faith. If we insist on using our natural senses as a steering wheel for our walk with God, we’re bound to miss the things that God has prepared for us.

Paul writes in the First letter to the Corinthians that God has prepared things for those who love Him, hidden things that “no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man imagined” (1 Corinthians 2:7-9). There are things that God has prepared for you that your heart hasn’t even thought of yet. But then how do we know what God has prepared for us?

The reason why we covet is because we don’t know what is ours, so we want what others have. To have access to what God has prepared for us, we need his Spirit (1 Corinthians 2:10). We must go and pray in secret (Matthew 6:6); seeking God and asking the Holy Spirit to reveal these hidden things to us. When we pray, we should pray in line with His Spirit. It is important that we make an effort to find out what is in God’s heart.

When we walk by faith and not by sight (2 Corinthians 5:7), we can pray for something, and – although we don’t see it in the natural – we can believe that we have already received it (Mark 11:24). We can walk on what we believe to be true in the Spirit and go get it.
