Go Get It Part 2

God has prepared things for those who love Him which no eye has seen, nor ear has heard, nor heart has imagined (1 Corinthians 2:9). This applies to this life and the life hereafter. The things that God has prepared are hidden, however He reveals these hidden things to us through His Spirit.

Matthew 7:7 says, “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.” Often, our mistake is that we ask the wrong people which causes us to seek in the wrong place. Ask the Holy Spirit, as the things of God are revealed by the Spirit and can only be obtained through faith. Therefore, we must walk by faith and not by sight (2 Corinthians 5:7).

Once we asked according to the Holy Spirit, it must be followed by seeking what we believe we already received (Mark 11:24). We often ask and not seek, but it is in the seeking that God works on our character. The Word of God enables our seeking, correcting us (2 Timothy 3:16) and strengthening our faith (Romans 10:17). Our desire should be to do things God’s way and remove anything that is limiting God’s ability to move in our lives.

When we seek first the Kingdom (Matthew 6:33), we are allowing God to change whatever is not in line with His will. His correction ensures that when we bear fruit, that it is an external display of what we already have on the inside.
