The Heavenly Voice

It’s easy for us to trust God when everything is going well in our lives. It’s during the trials and tribulations we grow.

Faith comes to the surface during tough times. Faith is called substance, and when we experience emotions of uncertainty, we have a substance that reminds us of what is guaranteed (Heb. 11:1). God is our security, and He is always with us in the midst of the storm.

“Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock: 25and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock.” (Matt. 7:24-25)

We will all go through the inevitablestorms of life, the trials and difficulties that are part of life. God’s teachings are rock-solid principles about how to endure the storm. Jesus says people who hear his teachings but don’t put them into practice are like that foolish builder. The wise builder builds his house on the rock, and when rain and winds come, his house stands firm. It’s during the winds and the waves of life your foundation in Jesus Christ is tested.

When you built your life on the solid rock, you will be strengthened to go through the trials and emerge stronger on the other side. Your houses will stand firm on the rock, not only throughout the various situations of life, but also on that Day when everything will be tested by fire (1 Cor. 3:13).

If you are not confident that your foundation is secure in God, pray to Him, ask God to take control of your circumstances. Don’t refuse to listen to His voice speaking into your life. He is our master builder, allow Him to restore your foundation of your house so that whatever comes your way, it will not be shaken (Heb. 12:25-29). God wrote your story, and He will carry you through.
