Unite180 uGroups

These are strange days, yet not without moments worth seizing for His glory. One area that presents both a challenge and an opportunity is how the universal church will deal with social distancing and church gathering limitations.  This is where Unite180 is introducing Worship Experience Host (WE-Hosts)

The WE-Hosts are the current uGroup leaders that gather on a Wednesday for uGroups. They are opening their uGroup locations as WE-Host locations for groups of around 6-12 people that will join a live worship experience with worship, teaching and ministry on Sundays.

The WE-Hosts follow a very similar approach to church as the first century Christians. The scriptures show us that they gathered in homes and at the temple. Similarly, we will now gather in homes on Sundays.

Romans 16:3-5 (NIV)

 Greet Priscilla and Aquila, my co-workers in Christ Jesus. They risked their lives for me. Not only I but all the churches of the Gentiles are grateful to them.

Give my greetings to the brothers and sisters at Laodicea, and to Nympha and the church in her house.

1 Corinthians 16:19  (NIV)

¹⁹ The churches in the province of Asia send you greetings. Aquila and Priscilla greet you warmly in the Lord, and so does the church that meets at their house.

Thus, our gatherings at We-Hosts will ensure the church is not fragmented, ensuring that meaningful relationships exist, where we all are encouraged and where we are equipped for the work of ministry.

There are obvious differences in the way it is done, considering our access to technology and the age of Christianity. For instance, we will still have new visitors and we will make sure they feel welcome and loved. They will also receive a free t-shirt as a first-time visitor to the Unite180 Church. Yet, the underlying motivation remains to create a valuable experience that serves the purpose of God in our lives.
